Pop Ups with Purpose connects altruistic small business owners with donors looking for a new and untraditional way to give back. The world is a tough place right now, and there is an ever-expanding list of needs that must be met in our community. In founding Pop Ups with Purpose, we wanted to call attention to the many excellent non-profits we support while boosting their fundraising totals and exposure to potential new donors.

I founded Pop Ups with Purpose in response to my own family’s desire to help those in need. After my daughters expressed a desire to sell homemade playdough and slime and give the proceeds to charity, I realized that many of my friends and neighbors with small businesses were also looking to give back but had no outlet other than direct financial donations. I hosted our first two shopping pop-ups in my home, the first with twelve vendors and the second with eighteen. They were a great success, attracting hundreds of people who enjoyed discovering new businesses and were passionate about giving to the beneficiary non-profits.
